The Alukap-SS Low Profile Self Supporting Glazing Bar is an excellent aluminium Glazing bar for unsupported glazing spans up to 3m, depending on glazing material and glazing bar centres.
Designed to suit glass, Axiome Polycarbonate Roofing Sheets or Axgard Solid Glazing Sheets any thickness, these heavy duty self supporting glazing bars are ideal for a wide range of roofs. If you're looking for a self supporting glazing bars for 6mm glass then Alukap-SS is the glazing bar you need for your project. As well as glass roofs, Alukap-SS Bars are a good option of self supporting glazing bars for polycarbonate sheeting including 10mm, 16mm, 25mm and 35mm thicknesses.
The all-aluminium Alukap-SS system provides robust and long lasting finish to any residential, public, or commercial canopy or roofing structure, with an expected life span of 20 plus years. Manufactured in white or dark brown colours as standard the Alukap-SS bars can be also manufactured to any bespoke colour - simply pick a RAL colour which suits your project!
These DIY self supporting glazing bars are easy to install at home, commercially, with a simple screw down design and snap fix caps. Unlike rafter supported glazing bars, these self support glazing bars do not need any timber rafters or steel rafters below them to support them which makes installation faster!
