One of the most popular manufacturers of mineral wool insulation, we stock a wide range of quality glass and rock mineral wool insulation by insulation manufacturer Knauf. Shop Cavity Wall insulation, Acoustic insulation roll and Loft insulation. We also stock a wide range of Knauf plasterboard.

Knauf Dritherm 32 Insulation

One of our most popular varieties of Knauf insulation, Knauf Dritherm 32 is a glass mineral wool Cavity wall insulation. It is manufactured from spun glass fibres combined with a binding agent to create a soft, wool-like “slab” sized specifically to fit between wall ties in the construction of exterior cavity walls. In comparison to Knauf Dritherm 37, the Knauf Dritherm 32 has a lower thermal conductivity value, meaning it is the more effective of the two, and is the more popular cavity wall insulation.

Knauf Dritherm 37 Insulation

Whilst Knauf Dritherm 32 has a lower conductivity rating and is therefore slightly more effective, Dritherm 37 is still a powerful insulating mineral wool insulation suitable for narrower cavity walls, such as in older buildings or in conjunction with other insulating methods, and when used in more standard thicknesses, it is a more cost-effective choice.

Knauf Loft Insulation

Knauf Loft Roll is a loft insulation made from glass mineral wool insulation that is formed with spun glass sheets bound with a binding agent to create rolls of wool-like material. Sized specifically to fit between joists and rafters and available in a range of thicknesses, Knauf Loft Roll is an insulation roll purpose-made for use as loft insulation.

Knauf Acoustic Roll Insulation

Designed for use as internal wall insulation and under floorboards as floor insulation, Knauf Acoustic roll is an acoustic insulation roll specifically for reducing noise between rooms - for use in stud walls and partitions. It is a glass mineral wool insulation made from spun glass fibres bound into a rolled "blanket". This process creates pockets of air which create effective sound insulation. As Knauf Acoustic Roll is primarily an acoustic insulation, it is not tested for a specific Thermal Conductivity value and should be used where sound insulation is the main concern.

Knauf Rocksilk Insulation

Unlike many other Knauf products, rather than a glass mineral wool insulation, Knauf Rocksilk is a rock mineral wool insulation, meaning it has a melting temperature of over 1000°C which makes it a highly fire resistant insulation. It is suitable for a variety of applications, primarily in walls/ceilings, roofs and stud/partition walls. A dual-purpose insulation, Knauf Rocksilk works as an effective acoustic insulation, whilst retaining a thermal conductivity value of 0.035 W/mK.

Knauf Insulation Fire Rating

Knauf insulation is primarily made from glass or rock spun into fibres which are bound with their unique ECOSE® technology into a “matt” that is soft and wool-like. This method means that the insulation has an extremely high melting temperature and fire resistance, winning it the highest fire rating - Euroclass A1.

What is Mineral Wool Insulation?

Mineral wool insulation is a type of insulation material made from natural minerals like glass or rock, which are melted down and spun into fibres. These fibres are then compressed into mats or formed into batts, boards, or loose-fill insulation products. Mineral wool is known for its excellent thermal insulation properties, as well as its ability to resist fire, moisture, and pests. It is commonly used in residential and commercial buildings to improve energy efficiency by reducing heat transfer through walls, ceilings, and floors. Additionally, mineral wool is favoured for its durability and resistance to mould and mildew, making it a popular choice for both new construction and retrofit projects.
