Celotex Plasterboard

Specially designed to save time and money, Celotex insulated plasterboard is created using Celotex insulation that is laminated to 12.5mm standard plasterboard. It allows for simultaneous installation of both insulation and plasterboard, using dot-and-dab or mechanical fixings.

What is Insulated Plasterboard?

Insulated plasterboard is a time saving and DIY friendly option for drylining and stud wall construction, comprised of a sheet of general-use plasterboard (such as wallboard) adhered to a sheet if insulating material - ranging from simple polystyrene backing to our high performance, foil-backed PIR insulation.

Sizes of Celotex Plasterboard

All sheets of Celotex PL4000 are created with 12.5mm general purpose plasterboard, but different sizes of Celotex insulation are used to suit a variety of uses. Available in 5 different thicknesses:

25mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 75mm,

The sheet is laminated to a 12.5mm plasterboard, to create a total thickness that includes the 12.5mm sheet, eg:

25mm Celotex + 12.5mm Plasterboard = 37.5mm Celotex Plasterboard.

Where to Use Celotex Insulated Plasterboard

Celotex insulated plasterboard is designed for use in roof and internal wall applications. It is ideal for loft conversions applied below the rafters - usually in combination with other insulation to help achieve a specific u-value - or below joists in flat roofs.
