Knauf Earthwool Rocksilk RS45 is a stone mineral wool insulation designed for both thermal and acoustic insulation projects. It is a multipurpose product ideal for projects where thermal and acoustic insulation is a concern, such as in ceilings and under floorboards, within partitions and stud walls, and in retrofits. Due to it's non-combustible nature, Knauf Rocksilk is highly fire-resistant which is often selected to ensure compliance to building regulations.

Knauf Rocksilk Insulation

Unlike many other Knauf products, rather than a glass mineral wool insulation, Knauf Rocksilk is a rock mineral wool insulation, meaning it has a melting temperature of over 1000°C which makes it a highly fire resistant insulation. It is suitable for a variety of applications, primarily in walls/ceilings, roofs and stud/partition walls. A dual-purpose insulation, Rocksilk has effective acoustic insulating properties whilst retaining a thermal conductivity value of 0.035 W/mK.
