What are Masonry Supported Joist Hangers?

A masonry-supported joist hanger is a structural component used in construction to attach wooden joists securely to masonry walls or structures. Typically made of galvanised steel or other sturdy materials, these hangers feature flanges or brackets that are anchored into the masonry using specialised fasteners like expansion bolts or concrete screws. They provide a reliable connection between the wooden joist and the masonry, ensuring proper load transfer and structural stability. Masonry-supported joist hangers are commonly used in building projects where wooden floor or roof joists need to be attached to masonry walls or columns, providing a robust solution for supporting loads and distributing weight effectively.
