3x2 CLS Timber C16 Studwork & Framing 38x63mm – 2.4m

“3x2" denotes the joist size in inches, equating to 47 x 75mm in metric measurements. However, CLS is planed on all sides to achieve an even and uniform finish, resulting in a "finished" size slightly smaller of approx 38mm x 63mm, to ensure consistency throughout.

This slight variance is typical in CLS timber and tends to lend itself specifically to structural projects where plasterboard etc will be applied to the structure. 

C16 CLS Studwork Timber is commonly employed in constructing timber-framed homes, including applications such as stud walling, carcassing, interior framing, and partitioning. Its C16 grade ensures exceptional strength, making it well-suited for various interior construction uses.

We provide 3x2 cls timber in lengths of 2.4m, 3m, and 4.8m. While we aim to have all sizes available for delivery, there might be cases where we substitute a longer length if specific sizes are delayed or unavailable in your area.

It's characterised by its strength and suitability for moderate load-bearing applications. Builders and contractors often utilise C16 timber in projects where a robust yet reasonably priced timber option is required, such as in domestic construction for wall framing, roofing, and general structural support.

Our untreated 3x2 CLS Timber is best suited for internal applications unless a appropriate treatment is applied. If your project might encounter moisture or pest concerns, opting for treated timber could be more suitable. Treated timber is better equipped for outdoor projects such as decking, roofing, and similar endeavors.
