Novia is a Breather Membrane Lap Tape designed for sealing overlaps in external membranes used in both roof and wall applications, available in 50mm or 75mm width. Typically, it is best used in combination with Novia Double-Sided Adhesive Tape to ensure a completely sealed and airtight installation of the membrane.

Novia Breather Membrane Lap Tape is recommended for use alongside Novia Black and Novia Reflex breather membranes on roofs to comply with BS 5534 wind uplift testing requirements. Please refer to the technical data sheets for guidance.

    What is Lap Tape?

    Lap tape is a type of adhesive tape used in construction and building applications such as roofing and wall membranes. It is designed to seal and secure the overlapping sections of Breather Membrane, Damp Proof Membranes and Vapour Control Layers to help prevent the infiltration of air, water, and moisture.

    How do I Use Lap Tape?

    Lap tapes are recommended for use as a final seal added when fitting Breather Membranes - following the application of a double sided adhesive tape to join or seal the membrane. Lap tapes ensure a tight and effective seal to optimal results.
