Novia Metallised BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) tape is a high strength, versatile tape suitable for various applications, especially in vapour control and damp proofing. It is recommended for use as the final application for sealing Vapour Control Layers and Gas Barriers. This 60mm BOPP Tape is made of tear resistant metallised polyester, which offers improved strength over traditional aluminium foil tapes.

What is BOPP Tape?

BOPP tape stands for "Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene" tape - it has a variety of uses, but the Metallised tapes specifically are recommended for use in sealing Damp Proof Membranes (DPM), Vapour Control Layers (VCLs) and Gas Barrier Membranes, in conjunction with Butyl tape. BOPP tape is made from a polypropylene film that has been biaxially oriented, which means it is stretched in both the machine direction and the transverse direction to improve strength and adhesion. Novia BOPP tapes are specifically a high spec tape, to ensure an air-tight fit for the application of membranes, vapour control layers and damp proof membranes.
