Description

Hybris is a reflective insulation with a unique “honeycomb” structure shaped polyethylene foams glued to aluminium coated polyethylene foils, designed to trap heat and create an effective insulating barrier in cavity walls, roofing and ceilings.

Actis Hybris insulation is a quick and DIY-friendly option due to it’s lightweight and easy handling, and can be cut-to-size with a handsaw without producing irritating fibres the require specialist PPE. Simply cut to fit between timber frames or rafters, and allow the “friction fit” to hold sheets in place before installing plasterboard or other drylining products.

  • Easy to cut to size with less mess
  • Ideal for roofs, cavity walls and ceilings
  • Simple installation with basic tools and supplies
  • Cost effective insulation

Frequently asked questions

What is Hybris insulation?

HYBRIS is a reflective insulation solution with a distinctive honeycomb design, featuring shaped polyethylene foams affixed to aluminum-coated polyethylene foils. Its exceptional thermal efficacy stems from a specialised structure comprising numerous low emissivity chambers, shielded against dust and excessive air currents. Available in panels measuring 1145mm x 1200mm, HYBRIS offers a variety of thickness options ranging from 50mm to 185mm.

How to install Hybris Foil Insulation

To install in roofs, wall cavities and ceilings, simply measure the cavity where you wish to install, and cut your insulation to fit with an insulation saw, a handsaw or electric alligator saw. The insulation is held in place by a snug “friction fit” so be sure to measure carefully, though adjacent panels can be taped with a reflective tape for further security.
