What is Floor Insulation?

Floor insulation involves installing materials beneath the flooring of a building to reduce heat loss and improve energy efficiency. This insulation typically consists of materials such as EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) Board, Mineral wool batts or multifoil rolls - which are placed between the floor joists or beneath the floorboards. Floor insulation helps to create a thermal barrier, preventing heat from escaping through the floor and keeping the interior of the building warmer in colder months. It also contributes to soundproofing and can help to reduce energy bills by decreasing the need for heating.

What is PIR Insulation?
