Our 3x3 (75mm x 75mm) treated fence posts are designed for use in fencing to support fencing panels and boards and are available in a length of 2.4m or 3m. These fence posts are treated with a tinted treatment to UC4, which ensures an adequate resistance to moisture and rot when placed in direct contact with the ground. Fence posts may sometimes be incised to ensure compliance to UC4.

    What are Wooden Fence Posts Used For?

    Wooden fence posts are used primarily for supporting and anchoring fences. They serve as the structural backbone of the fence, providing stability and strength, to which fence panels or boards are attached. Available in a variety of lengths, fence posts are typically chosen in a longer length than the panels or boards used to create the fence, to ensure enough length to properly secure the posts into the ground. 

    What does Incised Mean?

    Incised timber is timber that is treated in combination with small incisions along the exterior of the timber to allow any treatments to penetrate further and therefore have more effective resistance to rot and pest. It allows the treatment to penetrate into the inner “heartwood” of a length of timber. Timber treated to UC4 allows these timber sleepers to be used in direct contact with the ground such as raised beds and fence posts, and is expected to last roughly 15 years. 

    What Lengths are 3x3 Wooden Fence Posts?

    Our wooden fence posts are available in a choice of two lengths - 2.4m or 3.0m. Wherever possible we endeavour to keep all of the lengths of timber we offer available and in stock, however on occasion due to stock availability in your area, we may look to substitute you a longer length or an alternative treatment to ensure you receive your order in a timely manner.
